The story of Skin Deep Esthetics is one of passion, perseverance, and a deep commitment to helping others achieve healthy, glowing skin. Founded by Samantha Dench, a licensed esthetician with over 15 years of experience, the clinic began in the basement of her Elmhurst home in 2010. With a young family to care for, Samantha worked around her kids’ schedules, often sacrificing sleep and naps to pursue her dream.
As her family grew and she eventually divorced, Samantha moved her business to Oak Brook, where she has continued to thrive. But it’s not just Samantha’s entrepreneurial spirit that drives Skin Deep Esthetics – it’s her personal journey to heal her own skin from adult acne. After trying everything from school-learned techniques to client consultations, she finally discovered that the key to clear skin lay in healing from the inside out. By eliminating inflammatory foods and adopting a holistic approach, Samantha’s acne cleared up, and she was inspired to share this knowledge with others.
This inspired Samantha to study Functional Medicine, which led her to combine this inside-out approach to her clients, focusing on gut health and women’s hormones. Her business is now located inside her home in Bolingbrook, so she can focus on caring for clients during facial appointments and through Functional Medicine testing and extensive programs.
